Re: Scada software

Hello,

Maybe try the socket open before the connect in the SCADA Flowcode1 project. Leigh's your man for this but this seems to be what we're doing in our code.

Re: i2C slave problems

Hi Dave, I'm basing the following on a 16F18325. i think i understand HFintosc 32Mhz is an internal osc at 32Mhz but does it tie up any pins ? No, But frequency will fluctuate slightly with temperature and pressure. Extosc with 4* PLL i assume this requires a crystal connected to pins so will use up...

Re: Grove SHT31 Temp & Humidity Sensor

Hi Gary, It depends on which port on the Grove board you connected the sensor to. Each socket should be marked with two numbers e.g. 0&1 or 2&3. The SDA pin connects to the odd pin and the SCL to the even pin. e.g. SCL = C2 / SDA = C3. We have recently found a problem with this component whi...

Re: grove display(s) as component

Right I've been doing some work on the bits you sent.

The two 1.12" displays were both v2 in the end so currently unable to test v1. However V2 is now working well.

I've pushed this change to the update system now and will continue working through the other displays for you.

Hello, Sorry to hear you are having problems. Hopefully we can get you up and running with your new kit. Congrats on the retirement and move :D An easy way to setup your project is to click on File -> Open Template -> E-blocks2 -> BL0080_Combo. This will get all the settings right for you. Creating ...

Re: Trialing Flowcode 8 programmer problem

Hello Iain, You can still view the assembler code by opening the .asm file in your project folder with a text editor. Maybe check the timer interrupt enable icon's properties are setup as you are expecting, they likely will have reverted back to default. Ok updating the driver worked for V8 but does...

Re: Trialing Flowcode 8 programmer problem

Hello Iain, Glad v8 is now able to program, rolling back the device driver will allow v4 to work again. The USB driver for the AVRISP is very messy and I'm very glad we have now moved away from it as our go to AVR programmer. The USB tiny has no driver issues :D Regarding updating projects from v4 t...

Re: i2C slave problems

Hello, I think your config settings look a bit off. You have the Clock Out Enable bit set to disabled, this actually enables the clock out bit so I have been through and changed the wording for this as it was a bit misleading. You have the SOSC enabled as the main oscillator and this is on A4 and A5...

Re: Trialing Flowcode 8 programmer problem

Hello,

It could be a driver issue, I believe Flowcode 4 worked with an earlier version of the AVRISP mkII USB driver.

There is a newer signed driver available from the "Flowcode 8\Drivers\AVRISPmkII" folder which hopefully should work fine with v8 and also not break the v4 installation.

Hi Dave, this has solved the I2C issue Brilliant thanks for letting me know. Hello, Aha yes in the xc8 compiler definition for the device the T1CON register has these bits. typedef union { struct { unsigned :2; unsigned NOT_T1SYNC :1; }; struct { unsigned TMR1ON :1; unsigned RD16 :1; unsigned nT1SYNC :1; unsigned SOSCEN :1; unsigned T1CKPS :2; unsigned TMR1CS :2; }; struct {...

Re: Trialing Flowcode 8 programmer problem

Hello, Looks like you will need to edit the default programming parameters to use the AVRISP mkII. We currently default to the AVR TinyUSB. Simply click on Build -> Compiler Options. Select the Programmer tab. Click the save icon and give the new configuration a name, e.g. AVRISP Ensure you have the...

Re: PIC18F25K80 timer1 problem

Hello,

For 8-bit PIC devices V7 and V8 use a different compiler to V6 which has a different syntax for accessing registers.

Instead of

Code: Select all

st_bit(t1con, T1OSCEN);

Try this.

Code: Select all

st_bit(T1CON, T1OSCEN);

Re: i2C slave problems

Hi Dave, I've spent the morning looking into this problem and think I have now got a bit further. The remappable I2C had a minor bug where the remap pins were not being defined 100% correctly. This should now be fixed in the I2C CAL component via the v8 Help -> Check For Updates menu. Let me know ho...

Re: Suggestion for Component Help Info

Hi Chet, Sounds like you've been having some problems. Glad you have them resolved. However... for goodness sakes ground ALL unused pins This shouldn't be required. Unused Arduino pins can be left unconnected and the board should still run fine. Maybe there is something else causing the problems?

Hello, Thanks for all the testing you've done. This all sounds very odd indeed as we use this specific family a lot for our in house hardware, though not this specific chip. The UART code is known to work very well on all channels, certainly with the MU806 and MU810 chips. Are you running the latest...

Sorry I meant Restart Windows :D

What version of Windows are you running? I know older versions may struggle with SSDs without a lot of updates and tweaking (XP, Vista).
